Total Cost For Top CRNA Schools
Every accredited CRNA school is listed below according to the total cost of their entire nurse anesthesia program. The program’s total cost is calculated by combining tuition, school expenses, and fees for that specific CRNA school. You need to pay close attention to the total cost of the schools you wish to apply to. This is especially important when you are trying to find housing while attending CRNA school. Cities all across the United Sates vary in cost of living, and you will be on a fixed income (i.e student loans). If you are considering a school located in a high cost of living area, you just need to make sure that your budget will cover the cost of living there. We recommend sitting down and figuring out what your monthly budget will be based on your fixed income. From there start adding up all the anticipated expenses that you will have each month in CRNA school (rent, gas, food, tuition, etc.). Compare this to the amount of money you have allocated each month to these types of expenses. This will give you a better idea of your financial situation.
Our CRNA admission guide, CRNA School Admissions: The Cold Hard Facts has a chapter dedicated to paying for CRNA school. We help show you how to create your “School Fund” which will pay for all the application fees, tuition, and other expenses associated with going to a top CRNA school. The information below was taken directly from each school’s website. We provide the most up to date information, and are always updating our page so you can get the latest information on the top CRNA schools.
CRNA School EXPENSES NOT Included in Tuition (Average)

Government Loans Available to Students:
Federal Plus Loan: this loan is given by The U.S. Department of Education to help students trying to attain their graduate or professional degree to help pay education expenses.
The lender is The U.S. Department of Education
The student borrower can not have an poor credit history.
The maximum amount for the loan is the CRNA student’s cost of attendance minus any other financial aid that they are receiving.
Direct Subsidized Loan: this loan is available to undergraduate students who have financial need.
This loan has slightly better terms to help the students requiring financial need.
The school determines the amount the student can borrow. This amount can not exceed your financial need.
The interest on a Direct Subsidized Loan while you’re in school is payed by The U.S. Department of Education. After you graduate the first 6 months is referred to as a grace period” and during a time of deferment (a postponement of loan payments).
Direct Unsubsidized Loans: this loan is available to undergraduate and graduate students. Borrowers do not have to demonstrate financial need.
The school determines the amount the student can borrow based on the cost of attendance and any other financial aid you are receiving.
The student is responsible for paying all the interest on a Direct Unsubsidized Loan during all periods in school.
If a student chooses to not pay any interest while in school and during grace periods and deferment or forbearance periods, the interest will accrue (accumulate) and be capitalized. This means that the interest will be added on to the principal amount the your loan.
