Program Summary:

Military Nurse Anesthesia School Uniformed CRNA Program is aimed at providing the graduate education needed to become a nurse anesthetists. This Nurse Anesthetist program no longer accepts applications to the MSNA program. The program was transitioned to the DNAP degree plan in May 2013. The CRNA school historically has a variable number of applicants every year, and admits 10-30 students for each class. CRNA Program Requirements:
  • License: Must be a commissioned officer or service sponsored civilian in the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy or Public Health Service with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Work Experience: At least one year of experience as an RN in an acute care setting defined as work experience during which an RN has developed as an independent decision maker capable of using and interpreting advanced monitoring techniques based on knowledge of physiological and pharmacological principles
  • GPA: BSN GPA and science GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • GRE: Competitive applicants will have: (before August 2011)
    GRE quantitative scores (greater than 525)
    Verbal scores (greater than 500)
    Analytical scores (4 or higher)
    Competitive applicants will have: (after August 2011)
    GRE quantitative scores (greater than 145)
    Verbal scores (greater than 153)
    Analytical scores (4 or higher)
  • Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    BLS (Basic Life Support)
